Research Associate, Governance and Federalism
Join the Governance, Finance and Accountability and Federalism verticals to analyse public finances and local government.
The Research Associate will work with CRGD’s senior scholars on public finance, fiscal federalism and local government. This is an opportunity to build expertise in an area of growing importance and to see your work used by decision makers.

What you will do
- Analyse state and local government budgets, accounts and audit reports
- Contribute to policy briefs, reports and the annual budget analysis
- Support field work with local governments
- Present findings at events and to the media
What we are looking for
- A master's degree in economics, public policy, public administration, political science or a related field
- Comfort with quantitative data and spreadsheets
- Clear writing in English; Malayalam is strongly preferred
- One to three years of relevant experience is desirable but not essential
