What personal information CRGD collects through this website and its programs, why, and what rights you have over it.
CRGD respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, our email updates, our events and our programs. It is written with regard to India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you subscribe to email updates, contact us, register for an event, apply for a program or job, or make a contribution, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, organisation and message.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP addresses and pages visited, for security and to keep the site working. If we enable website analytics, it is configured to minimise personal data.
How we use it
We use your information only for the purpose for which you gave it:
- to send email updates you asked for
- to reply to your messages
- to manage event registrations and program applications
- to issue receipts for contributions and meet legal obligations
- to keep the website secure and working
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use it for political purposes.
Services we use
We use trusted third party services to run parts of this website, which may include a form processing service, an email newsletter service, video hosting and a map provider. Embedded videos and maps may set their own cookies when you play or view them. These services process data on our behalf or under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for its purpose, or as required by law. Unsuccessful job and program applications are deleted within twelve months unless you ask us to keep them.
Your rights
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct information that is inaccurate
- delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- stop sending you email updates, at any time, using the link in any email

Children
Our programs for students under eighteen collect information only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it was last changed.
